James Bristol received his legal education in England and was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1989. He joined the firm of Henry Henry & Bristol in 1990 and was appointed one of Her Majesty’s Counsel on the 1st February, 2021.
He is qualified as a mediator through the Centre for Dispute Resolution in England.
He practises mainly in the area of commercial law, including banking, corporate law and civil litigation taking cases up to Grenada’s final court of appeal, the Privy Council in London.
As a way of giving back to the profession, Mr. Bristol has been honoured to act as a Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, served as Attorney General of Grenada from 2008 to 2009 and as president of the Grenada Bar Association for several terms.
Mr. Bristol is admitted to the Bars of Antigua, Barbados, England & Wales, Grenada, St. Lucia and Trinidad and currently practises in Antigua, Grenada and St. Lucia.
